Michael C. Byrne is a graduate of North Carolina State University and Campbell University School of Law. He grew up in the Raleigh area and is a 1985 graduate of Millbrook High School.
Mr. Byrne has practiced in the areas of state personnel law, employment litigation, administrative law, and business law and litigation since 1996. He also served as general counsel for Unified Network Services, Inc., an RTP-area systems integration company, where he was involved in national-level business litigation as a trial attorney – and has since helped many small and medium-sized businesses with both transactional and lawsuit-related matters.
Mr. Byrne is also no stranger to the Federal and state appellate courts. He’s practiced in all three Federal District Courts in North Carolina and has argued cases before the North Carolina Court of Appeals, including employment, business law, and general litigation matters.
In addition, Mr. Byrne greatly enjoys work before the North Carolina Office of Administrative Hearings, which hears State Personnel cases as disputes between citizens and government agencies. He has also litigated against the North Carolina Division of Facility Services for Nurse Assistants and before the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
Mr. Byrne is not an attorney who tries to “do everything,” but rather one who is dedicated to doing several things well. Whether your case involves state employment, administrative law or employment law, Mr. Byrne’s experience in these areas can and will work to your benefit.
Mr. Byrne concentrates in all areas of employment law (representing labor and management), including government personnel cases and administrative law, focusing on disputes with goverment agencies.
